Ford App | Security in Your Back Pocket

You don't have to look far to have a bird's eye view of your vehicle's safety. With the Ford app, you can monitor aspects of your vehicle and receive alerts immediately. Pull out your phone and download this user-friendly app and discover what it can do.

Theft Alerts

Enabling push notifications allows the Ford app to alert you immediately if someone has tampered with your vehicle. You can also customize the app to get alerts for: Potential Intrusion, Forceful Impact, Unexpected Location, and Door Open.

 

Start Inhibit

We've all been there before. We put our keys down and forget where they are. If you're in this situation or suspect that your keys were stolen, you don't have to worry about someone starting your vehicle and taking it for a spin. Start Inhibit allows you to lock down your vehicle remotely, giving you greater control even when faced with uncertainty.

 

Stolen Vehicle Services

We will make every effort to help you keep your vehicle safe. However, in the event that it is stolen, we have your back. With the Ford Security Package, you'll receive a dedicated 800-number, or you can use the Ford app for one-tap calling and speak to a live Ford agent. This agent will work with law enforcement to help track your vehicle as they attempt to recover it.

 

Deductible Reimbursement

With the Ford Security Package, we'll protect your deductible up to $2,500 related to any damage or loss caused by vehicle theft. With Deductible Reimbursement, your wallet will receive a reprieve, allowing you to relax.

Ford Security Package FAQ

On eligible vehicles, the Ford Security Package is included for one year from your vehicle’s warranty start date. Activation is required and can be completed in the Ford app under Connected Services. Credit card is not required to activate.

Eligible vehicles include select 2024 and newer Ford F-150® and Super Duty® trucks (excluding F-150® Lightning®, F-650®, and F-750®), as well as the 2026 Expedition®, 2026 Bronco Sport®, and 2026 Mustang Mach-E® SUVs.

The Ford Security Package is included for one year with the purchase of select 2024+ Ford F-150® and Super Duty® trucks (excluding F-150® Lightning®, F-650® and F-750® trucks), as well as the 2026 Expedition® SUV, 2026 Bronco Sport® SUV, and 2026 Mustang Mach-E® SUV, starting from the new-vehicle warranty date.

To use features, you must activate the Ford Security Package after purchase through your Ford account in the Ford app.

The Ford Security Package is designed to help protect your vehicle from theft. It includes the following features:

Feature availability may vary by vehicle, model year, and location. Activation in the Ford app is required to use these features.

Stolen Vehicle Services is a core feature of the Ford Security Package that helps track and recover your vehicle if it’s stolen, but it is not the only feature.

The Ford Security Package also includes additional protection features like Theft Alerts, Start Inhibit, and (in some states) Deductible Reimbursement* in one Connected Services offering.

Yes, you can add authorized users to the app to manage your vehicle. If the vehicle has an active FSP plan that user will also receive Theft Alerts and have the ability to Start Inhibit via the app. Authorized users can receive theft alerts, manage security features, and access the vehicle.

You can send an email invitation from the Ford app to authorize another user to manage your vehicle. Once authorized, invited drivers will share the same access level as you, including receiving Theft Alerts, activating Start Inhibit, vehicle commands, status, subscriptions and driver invites.

  1. Call the police: Your local law enforcement will help you file a report. Make note of the police report number and contact information so you can provide it to the Ford Secure Call Center agent.
  2. Call Ford Secure either through the Ford app or directly at 1-866-861-0419.
  3. Provide the call center agent with the information they request. They will verify the police report with law enforcement. Next, they will start tracking your vehicle's location and disable Factory Reset functionality. Our call center will engage police to check for case updates, share updated locations, and request updates on your behalf.
  4. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from the agent with a summary of the case details.

If your vehicle is successfully recovered, here’s what should happen next:

  1. The police will reach out to let you know they’ve recovered your vehicle.
  2. Call Ford Stolen Vehicle Assistance through the Ford app or directly at 1-866-861-0419.
  3. Let the agent know your vehicle has been found. They will deactivate tracking and initiate Recovery Mode.
  4. Check your inbox for a Recovery Mode confirmation email.
  5. Law enforcement will return your vehicle to you.

Deductible Reimbursement is available with the Ford Security Package on select equipped 2024+ F-150® (excluding F-150® Lightning®) and select 2024+ Super Duty® trucks, plus 2026 Expedition®, 2026 Bronco Sport®, and 2026 Mustang Mach-E® SUVs.

You can cancel your Ford Security Package or Stolen Vehicle Services directly through your Ford Account on the website or via the Connected Services tile in the Ford app.
Yes. Even though the first year is included, you must activate the service in the Ford app to access its features.
Yes. Support from the Ford Secure Call Center is available 24/7 after activation, including assistance with stolen vehicle cases.
The availability of vehicle location data and remote commands (such as Start Inhibit) is dependent on cellular and GPS connectivity with the vehicle and/or the Ford app. Tracking and remote commands can be affected by the loss of these signals, the coverage in your area, or the vehicle’s surroundings. If for any reason, the vehicle loses connectivity, whether it be through deliberate tampering with the vehicle or otherwise, the Call Center will not be able to track the vehicle’s location.
